It’s Six Sentence Sunday time again! Today, I’m sharing another snippet from my WIP “Weekend Assistant.” At twenty-three, Kate sacrificed her relationship with Adam to secure his future. Now it’s six years later – Adam is the CEO of a Fortune 500 company and holding his annual shareholder’s meeting at the hotel where Kate works. She assumed he’d just ignore her, instead he’s arranged for her to work as his assistant for the weekend.
We’re picking up where we left off last week – it’s their first encounter alone and Kate is in way over her head:
- “Do you still want me, Katie?” Adam asked as he secured his other hand against the small of my back.
- “No,” I answered quickly. I had never encountered this Adam before – he was a stranger, this hard man and I knew if I fought back things would escalate beyond either of our control.
- “No?” he pressed his length against me – a light thrust that nearly brought me to my knees.
- I felt a spark of arousal so strong it was all I could do not to gasp – I knew if he didn’t stop I would humiliate myself and come right there. “No, now let me go.”
Thanks for reading – I hope you enjoyed it! And don’t forget to check out some of the other authors over at Six Sentence Sunday!
